Mountjoy Square is currently widely used but contains many obstructions with half of the surface covered in tarmac. I attempted to reinstate the sense of procession from Georgian House to the Square by setting up different spatial progressions and reinstating a sense of ownership. At an Urban level I opened up the square at the corners improving accessibility and potential pedestrian through traffic. Preservation of valuable elements both manmade and natural was a constant concern.
