Each year in UCD there is a collaborative design project where Civil Engineers and Architects team up to tackle a brief together utilising both sets of skills. This tests the architects' pragmatism and the engineers ability to push their knowledge to accommodate the team's design. This project also allowed the students to test their knowledge in the other discipline. Our project was chosen as the most successful collaboration and hence we were recipients of the G&T Crampton Award that year.
